New Film Reveals the Story Behind the Iconic Chanel Jacket [VIDEO]

When Gabrielle Chanel initially designed the Chanel jacket back in 1954 she was inspired by men’s jackets. She wanted to design one that would allow women to move, and not feel like they were dressed up in costume. The world agreed with her and has been in love with them ever since and, as Karl Lagerfeld says, “There are four things in fashion that never go out of style: jeans, a white shirt, and the Chanel jacket.”
